International sea freight forwarding
For larger volumes and cost-efficient international shipping, sea freight remains the backbone of global trade. SSA Logitra coordinates FCL, LCL and specialized ocean shipments worldwide from Istanbul, working with shipping lines and a partner network that includes FIATA members.
Ocean freight matched to your cargo and volume
Sea freight is the most economical way to move large or heavy cargo over long distances, whether you ship full containers on a regular schedule or occasional smaller consignments. The right solution depends on your volume, cargo type and how quickly the goods are needed.
SSA Logitra plans each ocean shipment around those factors. We advise on the most suitable equipment, from standard containers to reefer, open top and flat rack units, or non-containerized options such as breakbulk and Ro-Ro. We then arrange the booking with shipping lines and coordinate documentation, inland moves and delivery through our partners.
Cargo can move port-to-port, port-to-door or door-to-door, on import, export and cross-trade routes worldwide. You deal with one coordinator throughout, while specialized cargo and equipment are confirmed with the shipping line before booking.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (Full Container Load) means you book an entire container for your cargo, which is usually more cost-effective for larger volumes and involves less handling. LCL (Less than Container Load) means your cargo shares a container with other shipments, so you pay for the space you use. That suits smaller consignments, though consolidation can add time at origin and destination.
Can you arrange reefer or oversized cargo shipments?
Yes. Reefer containers can be arranged for temperature-controlled goods, and open top, flat rack, breakbulk or Ro-Ro options can be used for cargo that is too large, heavy or irregular for a standard container. Availability depends on the route, the cargo specifications and shipping-line acceptance.
Do you offer port-to-door delivery?
Yes. Depending on your needs, we can coordinate port-to-port, port-to-door or full door-to-door shipments, including inland transport at origin and destination through our partners.
Can dangerous goods be shipped by sea?
Many dangerous goods can be shipped by sea under the IMO/IMDG requirements. Correct classification, packaging, labeling and documentation are essential, and acceptance is confirmed with the shipping line before booking.
How are sea freight transit times estimated?
Transit times depend on the sailing schedule, routing, any transshipment ports, and conditions at origin and destination. We share an estimated schedule with your quotation, based on current shipping-line information. Schedules can change, so we keep you informed of updates on request.
